SITUATION: Navy recruiting covers the entire US with 26 Navy Recruiting Districts (NRDs) commanded by 2 Navy Recruiting Regions. more than 6,350 active and reserve officer and enlisted Sailors who man more than 1,450 recruiting stations and centers throughout the U. S., Guam, Puerto Rico and Europe.

OBJECTIVES:

• Increase the quality of the total force by aggressively seeking qualified active and reserve Sailors in specific areas: Officer and Enlisted diversity, Medical officers, Chaplains, SEALs, Navy Special Warfare, Navy Special Operations, Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Diver, Hospital Corpsmen and Reserves.  

• Smooth the flow of recruits into boot camp, and manage mentorship of applicants through both one-to-one training and online skills.  

• Improve the return on recruiting investments.

RESULTS: Despite a highly competitive environment during wartime, recruitment goals were exceeded, and cost controls achieved.
